Delta Military Discount
Delta Air Lines offers active-duty U.S. military members special military fares and additional travel benefits that are not available to civilian customers.
Delta does not publish a standard percentage discount for military airfare. Military fares may vary based on the flight, destination, travel dates, and availability.
How to Get the Discount
Contact Delta through its reservations service and ask about available military fares for your itinerary. Military eligibility may need to be verified when booking or traveling.
Free Checked Bags for Active-Duty Military
Active-duty U.S. military members traveling on military orders can check up to five bags free. Bags traveling under the military-orders allowance can be up to 80 linear inches and up to 100 pounds each.
Active-duty military members traveling for personal or leisure purposes also receive free checked baggage. Delta currently allows two free checked bags for passengers traveling in Delta Main or Delta Comfort and three free checked bags when traveling in Delta Premium Select, Delta First, or Delta One.
Military Boarding
Active-duty U.S. military members with military identification are eligible for pre-boarding on Delta flights.
Additional Military Travel Benefits
Delta maintains special policies for active-duty military members and their families, including military pet travel for qualifying permanent-change-of-station travel and discounted medical emergency fares for eligible family members traveling because of a war-injured service member.
